The illustrated instructions are clear enough that my son built the crane model by himself on the first try. Eight different builds from one box means he keeps coming back to it instead of tossing the pieces in a drawer.

The 270-plus pieces kept my daughter busy for a whole rainy afternoon, and she actually followed the illustrated steps herself without asking for help. Eight models means it won't get tossed in a drawer after one build, which is usually what happens with kits like this.

I grabbed this for my son who usually gives up on kits after ten minutes, but the illustrated step-by-step instructions actually kept him going. He worked through four of the eight models in one weekend using the 270-plus pieces.
