Solar gear motor 1.5-3V

Took it out of the package and the little shaft spins smoothly right away when I give it 2 volts from a bench supply—plenty of torque for a small gearbox project without needing much juice.

For a small solar car I’m building, this little motor spins up smoothly on a 2V panel and has enough torque to move the frame on a flat surface. The gearbox feels solid for the price, and it’s nice that it works right down to 1.5V so cloudy days aren’t a total loss.

I needed a motor for a tiny windmill model I'm building, and this little unit runs smoothly even in low light. The compact size fits perfectly into tight spaces, and it has enough torque to spin a lightweight gear train without stalling.
