Mini Trowel: A Small Tool for eitech Construction

Quick answer

The mini trowel is designed for small hands and precise mortar application with teifoc bricks. If your mortar is uneven or bricks shift, the likely cause is incorrect trowel technique or mortar consistency.

Diagnosis: Fixing mini trowel problems

• Symptom: Mortar is too thick or too thin; bricks don't stick or mortar drips off. Check mortar consistency before using the trowel.
• Likely cause: Using too much mortar on the trowel, or the mortar mix is incorrect for the teifoc bricks. Use a small amount of mortar on the mini trowel and adjust mix if needed.
• Corrective action: Dip the trowel into the mortar at a shallow angle, scoop a small amount, and spread it evenly on the brick edge. Press the brick gently into place. Practice on a spare brick to get the feel of the right amount.
• Stop or choose another option: If the mortar still doesn't hold after several tries, consider using a different mortar brand or check if the bricks are clean and dry. Clean bricks and try again before switching tools.
