Speed Racer (Model 3)

My son finished the engine block first, and the level of detail on those small parts is impressive. He's been focused for hours without getting bored, which never happens.

435 pieces sounded intimidating at first, but the tuning-fan details kept my son hooked for a whole weekend. He's eight and barely needed my help after the first few steps.

Building this with my daughter turned into a whole weekend project, and the 435 pieces meant we never ran out of things to snap together. Watching her sort every tiny component before assembling taught her more patience than I expected. The finished racer looks great on her shelf.
